Don't forget that with economic demagraphics changing people are relocating. Other Halls may be having a banner year as downsizers move in. Its about rearranging the furniture. Hopefully it means more. Some probably don't attend any longer once they relocate. If so, welcome to JWN!

Danger JWs, your KH is falling apart in front of your eyes!
by moshe init seems to me that the kh's in many areas have lost the critical mass they need to stay healthy and to expand.
loss of their youth and loss of ministerial servants makes it obvious that these khs are doomed.
maybe not this year, but before this decade is out we will see many closings and subsequent mergers of kh's to the point that it is obvious to jws that they have become a has-been religion.

It would be great too if we could have the link posted where Russell condemned the manner of studying the Bible that is exemplified by the WT study. Anyone remember that. He mentioned that reading and then answering what was written would be mindless repetition? Something like that. I think that fits here. Thanks for all the links. They will all be very helpful. Makes the family study look more than revisionist and cultish.

I think this is what I read. I guess it's not too different from what is taught now. I just remember it then as weird to see the statement considering the requirement now to be part of God's Earthly Organization.

Ynot, I have been downloading the pdfs from there and am going through them one at a time. I have done 16,17, and 18. I'm sure its in 19 and shortly after because that's when PSL was ass out. My pdf reader can't search those PDFs. Are they searchable with Adobe? I'm using Foxit. Thanks. I swear to God those quotes are in there somewhere. Damned if I wasn't a loyal dub then who sort of shelved that damning info because I couldn't talk about it. Thanks. I'm thinking that the "no organization" quote would really help with a video I'm doing on the family study checking out the history to build faith in God's "Organization." Kinda blows it out of the water if they didn't beleive in one back then.

Nope, not that. It was in a letter to Rutherford in the WT and he agreed with Russell that Jehovah does not have an "Organization". I remember that instead of the letter being addressed to Dear Brothers or Dear Watchtower, it was addressed to Dear Brother Rutherford. I've looked at all the letters for 1916 and 1917 so it must be in 1918. There was also a question from readers about P.S.L. Johnson setting up a public speaking program for brothers. Rutherford shot that down as ungodly. I know thats in the letters too. Honest, I know I saw this. I will continue the search. Does anyone have the 1918 reprints in searchable form? That would save lots of time.
